Earth day is coming this week and your kiddos are learning how to make good choices for our earth. Learning about making these choices is in the science TEKS(Texas Essential knowledge and Skills). This week we will be answering these questions:

1. What is recycling really all about?
2. What are other ways we can help save the earth?
3. How important is water to us?
4. How can one person can make a huge difference?
The first activity is about recycling. In Michael, Michael Go Recycle you and your kiddo can help Michael go around and pick up trash in a park and get the litter bug before time runs out. This is a fun interactive activity that not only displays the importance of picking up trash, but it also allows sorting for the different types of waste to be recycled.
The next activity I Don't Want to Clean My Room! is something all kids can relate to. This is a great activity that starts with a story and ends with a fun game. As you read the comic book like story you learn the different types of items that can be recycled and reused. At the end of the story you help clean a room and recycle unwanted waste.
In the game Tip Tank you learn lot of easy water saving tips. In this activity you play the matching game and as you click on each square to guess the matching pair you learn helpful, easy tips you can use around the house each day to conserve water.
